Cummins

Currently "NG-Energo" company is implementing a number of major projects on the basis of Cummins gas piston power plants       Solutions

Cummins manufactures generator sets for working on natural and associated gas with a single capacity of 315 - 1750 kW.  With parallel work of the units, Cummins gas piston power plants provide the total capacity of up to 25 MW and have performed well on various industrial and social facilities due to their reliability and efficiency.

Special features of Cummins gas power plants

Cogeneration

Exhaust gas heat recovery and generator set cooling systems allow rising the efficiency factor up to 85% depending on the heat-exchange equipment used.

Our company offers the full range of solutions related to the calculation, approval, construction, commissioning and servicing mini-cogeneration plants on the basis of diesel and gas piston power plants.
Being based on Cummins gas piston (and diesel) sets, our solutions in the sphere of mini-cogeneration plants and power industry on the whole are highly up-to-date and environmentally-friendly.  Using cogeneration and trigeneration leads to maximum increase of efficiency, resource saving and quick payback of the construction.

Cummins engine

An open type combustion chamber is used in Cummins engines.  In contrast to the engine with a precombustion chamber, the engine temperature mode is less intense, which explains the increased life of the engine.  In combination with the relatively low average effective pressure in the cylinder of 12...16 bar, the standard running time before the first overhaul is 60 000 machine hours.

Environmental performance

NOx value in exhaust gases of Cummins gas piston engines does not exceed 1,15 g/kWh.  Being a world leader in the area of developing systems for decreasing the hazardous substances content in exhaust gases, Cummins company offers additional equipment decreasing the NOx content in the exhaust down to 0.20 g/kWh. The content of other hazardous substances (HC, CO, PM) in exhaust gases of Cummins gas piston power plants complies with most tough existing standards of environmental protection.

Fuel

Cummins gas piston engines can work at very low gas pressure - starting from 0.2 bar.  Thus, when using them in a power unit, the necessity is eliminated to install additional compressor plants, in turn making the system less bulky and reducing investment.  The engines allow working without any decrease in capacity on the fuel gas with the methane number from 52.  When operating engines with the set degree of compression, when the methane index is changed, the settings are automatically adjusted ensuring the maximum unit capacity.   QSV81/91 models can work on fuel gas with the lowered methane number (to 38) with no more than 30% decrease of the nominal capacity.
