Energy supply for mining enterprises
NG-Energo worked its way from single-unit supplies to turn-key building of solid energy complexes for mining industry and operating of built objects by own staff.
Optimization of the costs for electrical power and providing reliable energy supply is one of the primary objectives for mining enterprises. By no means always there a possibility to cover power consumption growth by source of external energy system, especially taking into consideration such factors as isolated location of many mining factories, energy shortage or constrain of through put for existing grids.
One of solutions in this case is building of own generation object based on diesel and gas power plants which is designed to provide electrical and heating energy at once when combustion efficiency is essentially raised. The fact, that oil and diamond fields have life time also counts in favor of small generation. Sometimes it makes no economic sense to bear the costs for power transmission line building for hard-to-reach and sparsely populated regions.
Energy supply for mining industry always demands individual solutions, considering specific features of mineral sources extraction and processing. Construction of power plants supposed to be operated in harsh climatic conditions and hard-to-reach regions requests particular approach of designing and selection of main and auxiliary equipment as the costs for power and heat generation directly affects prime costs of gold and silver.

NG-Energo gained vast experience of supply and building of captive power stations for providing mining enterprises with energy. In particular, NG-Energo CJSC and Polymetall Ltd. have long-term partnership relations in fulfillment of agreed obligations for energy supply to the gold mines «Birkatchan», «Sopka kvartsevaya», «Agynskoye», «Kubaka», «Amazarkanskoye», «Maiskoye», «Karalveemskoye», silver mines «Goltsovoye», «Lunnoe» and others. For Albazinkoye ore gold mine NG-Energo supplied module heating power plant with rate of 14MW. Power complex is built on base of Cummins generating equipment.
Among solid projects for mining industry there is turn-key construction of heating power plant performed for ArkhangelskGeolDobycha OJSC. The plant with total electrical capacity of 26,1MW and heating capacity of 26,4MW is designed for customer needs at diamond field V.Griba. Main equipment is Rolls-Royce fluid fuel plants, operating on heavy fuel oil. Another solid power complex was performed for Sevealmaz OJSC. Gas – diesel heating power plant with capacity of 24MW provides with energy mining and concentration company at diamond field M.V.Lomonosova. Main generating equipment is Man power plants. Both objects are located in Arkhangelsk region and differs from other projects tight building period and completed logistics scheme of equipment delivery.
Objects carried out for mining industry locate generally in hard-to reach regions. As a rule several transport types are used for delivery of the equipment to the site. For example, railway, maritime and auto transports (winter road) were required to deliver equipment for turn-key building of heating power plant for gold ore field «Ametistovoye», Kamchatka. This block-module energy complex of total electrical capacity of 11,2MW and heating capacity of 13,3MW is designed for providing with energy gold-processing factory and objects of field development auxiliary complex.
